Privacy policy

Short version: CrushPaper has no account, no analytics and no ads. Your notes never leave your Mac. The app makes a daily version check, and fetches link titles only if you turn on Link Catcher.
On your Mac
- Notes, link icons and your Daily Wrap log are stored in
~/Library/Application Support/com.crushpaper.app. Nothing is synced or uploaded. - Clipboard: only when Link Catcher is on, and only a single web link is kept. Password managers and concealed copies are ignored.
- Microphone: "Hide automatically on calls" checks only whether the microphone is in use. CrushPaper never records or listens and doesn't request microphone permission.
- Accessibility: used to find where your Dock's Trash is and to follow the window an App Note is pinned to. CrushPaper does not read other apps' content.
- Daily Wrap images leave your Mac only if you share, copy or save them.
Network requests the app makes
- Update check: once a day the app downloads a small file (
crushpaper.pages.dev/version.json). Like any web request, this reveals your IP address to the host. Turn it off in Settings → About. - Link titles: only with Link Catcher and "Show page titles & icons" on, CrushPaper requests the copied link's page to read its title and icon — the same as opening it.
This website
Hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs. Fonts load from Google Fonts. We use no cookies, analytics or ad trackers. The "Ask your AI" buttons open ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity with a question about CrushPaper; those services' own policies apply.
Supporter payments
Contributions are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. They handle your card details under their privacy policy; we receive the name, email and amount of a contribution and use them only to thank you and answer questions.
Children
CrushPaper is not directed at children under 13.
