Link Catcher
Save links to read later on Mac — and actually read them
Updated October 7, 2026 · by Shiva Chandra, maker of CrushPaper
Read-later apps turn into graveyards. CrushPaper's Link Catcher does the opposite: copy a link and it lands as a note on your Reading board with its title and site icon. Read it and crush it — or let it burn at midnight. Tomorrow starts clean.
How to use it
- Open Settings → Notes and turn on Turn copied links into notes.
- Copy any link (⌘C) in Safari, Chrome, Slack or Mail.
- It appears on the Reading board with the page title. Click the site chip to open it.
- Done reading? Crush it. Not worth it? Let it burn tonight.
Privacy
- Copies from password managers, Keychain and anything marked concealed are ignored.
- Text, codes and API-key-looking strings are never kept — only a single link.
- With Show page titles & icons on, CrushPaper asks the copied site for its title, like a Messages link preview. Turn it off to stay fully offline.
Questions
Does Link Catcher read everything I copy?
It checks the clipboard only to see whether it holds a single web link. Anything else is ignored and never stored.
Can I keep a link longer than a day?
Yes — give the note a due date or move it to another board; dated notes don't burn.
