Terms of use
Updated October 7, 2026 · by Shiva Chandra, maker of CrushPaper
CrushPaper is made by Shiva Chandra, an independent developer in India (“we”). By downloading or using CrushPaper you agree to these terms.
Licence
CrushPaper is free. You may install and use it on your Macs for personal or work purposes. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, or modified copies of it, without written permission.
Your notes
Your notes are yours and stay on your Mac. You are responsible for backing them up. Daily Burn deletes nothing permanently: burned notes stay in Ashes until you sweep them.
Responsible use
Features that hide notes from screen sharing are for keeping personal notes private. Don't use them to hide help during interviews, exams or proctored tests, or anywhere you've agreed to keep your screen transparent.
Contributions
Supporter contributions are voluntary, don't buy features or services, and are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. They are non-refundable — see the refund policy.
No warranty
CrushPaper is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of data, profits or other damages arising from using the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use CrushPaper means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.
