Control CrushPaper from Shortcuts, Raycast and Alfred
Updated October 7, 2026 · by Shiva Chandra, maker of CrushPaper
CrushPaper understands crushpaper:// links, so anything that can open a URL can drive it: the Shortcuts app's Open URLs action (and Siri), Raycast and Alfred quicklinks, or open in Terminal.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
crushpaper://add?text=Buy%20milk&board=Personal | Adds a note (boards: Focus, Work, Personal, Ideas, General, Reading) |
crushpaper://plan | Opens the board |
crushpaper://crush?text=milk | Crushes the newest active note containing "milk" (⌘Z undoes) |
crushpaper://focus?minutes=25&text=report | Starts a crush timer on a matching note |
crushpaper://wrap | Opens Daily Wrap |
crushpaper://privacy?on=1 | Hides all notes from screen sharing (on=0 shows them) |
Apple Shortcuts (and Siri)
- New shortcut → add Ask for Input (Text), then URL Encode.
- Add Text:
crushpaper://add?text=followed by the encoded input. - Add Open URLs. Name it "Stick a note" and say it to Siri.
Raycast, Alfred, Terminal
Create a quicklink to crushpaper://add?text={Query}. In Terminal: open "crushpaper://add?text=Ship%20it".
